Lol this is all the average Hedge Fund returns in a "great" month? Seems like there are a few real good funds and the rest are scams to suck money out of investors. If only I could get $100 million to manage!

After wilting in the dog days of August, hedge fund managers rebounded to post boffo returns last month.
Hedge funds earned 2.26 percent, according to the Hennessee Hedge Fund Index, while Hedge Fund Research found that the average fund returned 2.98 percent last month. That compares with a 1.31 percent loss in August.
That amounts to the second-best September return — the best was 1997 when hedge fund strategies generated 3.72 percent — in HFR’s weighted composite index since it began tracking returns in 1990, according to Hedge Fund Research President Ken Heinz.
The gain was fueled by a rally in equity markets in the United States and is the strongest return since May when the average fund gained 2.33 percent.
September’s gains helped the $1.9 trillion industry’s performance for the year. Through September, the average fund was up 10.16 percent, compared with a gain of 8.3 percent through August.
