Davidal, Well, that leaves CX-701 for AD, but that's a long, long way to get to the BP deal payday, maybe 3 years. Cortex could be diluted to death by then.

Interim money raised from two sources - 1) CX-717/RD and 2) High Impacts collaboration, *might* fund the company for a year, maybe. I figure there is enough current money to safely get to the end of next Summer. #1 and #2 above could then maybe get us to Summer 2009 (could be iffy though). Then the need for a hugely dilutive financing hits bigtime, and the CX-701 AD trial likely wouldn't be completed yet to provide the big AD payday. And this entire "save the company" scenario relies on no clinical failures, setbacks, or screwups.

I don't know, I still like the buyout/merger idea better. With management's options likely still underwater with a buyout though, they're not likely to pursue the buyout approach with much enthusiasm.
