Medivation's cognition trial with Dimebon went six months--you can try shorter periods, a month, two months, but the shorter you go, the more likely it is that you'll get negative or ambiguous results, partly because intellectual assessment instruments are not precise. Here Epix went two weeks. They aren't equivalent, it is a fast cheap way to try to show POC. But six months plus enrollment and analysis--you would be on fumes.
