I've never stated that we stay with the war forever. I do believe we have to listen to the generals in charge and follow their advice more than that of a politician in Washington who is only looking for soundbites to get reelected.

However, given the fact that the Iraqi people now seem to be more concerned and outraged by mistakes and errors we may make versus the continued car bombings and other atrocities that they commit on each other, I believe that our remaining time in Iraq should be shorter rather than longer. When the people of the country seem to want you out, you should go.
