Walk in all my years of watching trials I've never seen the onco community respond to anything like they responded to Herbst and Kim in the SWOG 0536 trial.

Herbst (md anderson) who has been involved in many of the avastin lung trials (behind Sandler) was also involved in the Swog 0342 Erby lung trials behind Kelly.

In the time it normally takes to setup and broadcast a trial, Herbst fully enrolled a phII 100 patient Carb/pac/Bev/Erby trial. I think he fully enrolled it in <8 months start to finish.
