I know the board you are talking about and I am currently baffled at the situation. I don't really have an answer.

Most people seem to get along nice with eachother and normally asked to be removed/replaced.

That aspect is completely controlled by the lead moderator and until the last few days, I've never seen a problem with it.

Again, I really can't give a good answer on the whole thing.
