That's partially what got me so "jazzed" about your first post on this topic. First, I am not a medical professional. I am one heck of a researcher. When my father was diagnosed with a terribly aggressive form of cancer, I kicked into high-gear research. Thankfully he had an excellent oncologist who had the patience to deal with me while he treated dad. I started bringing all my research "finds" to his physician who patiently explained the benefits and dangers of my "finds". I easily filtered out the quackery myself, but was absolutely amazed at the off label touts I unearthed that really had no/questionable efficacy for my dad ... especially those that afforded no improvement for quality and/or length of life.

This is a topic of which we should all be more aware, well before we are in the throes of treatment for ourselves or a loved one.
