I just read them and concur with your opinion on todays selling. It probably was some fellow(s) who have SEC filing alerts and read the 8-K quickly and decided to sell on the spur of the moment.
If the PPS does go down sharply over the next few days, this could be another great opportunity to enter. I got in at the fire-sale prices of December '06, when all was gloom and doom. I notice that there is currently a similar atmosphere here...
