That's the way it works and usually to the disadvantage of investors. I've always suspected they bash boards to bring the stock down so they can cover. In the meantime, some innocent investors sell into their ploy before the next run and the game starts over again within a trading range. Particularly on the OTC/Pinks. Of course, that's my opinion.
