Lets just say I do liver biopsies and imaging including MRI and Ultrasound for a living. Yeah great it can pick up severe cirrhosis so can a 3rd year medical student from the doorway. I will let the GI docs opine but the decision making really in hep c and b applies to milder forms of cirrhosis which even they stated in the paper weren't reliable.

It just isnt easy for imaging to pick up cellular abnormalities.
