CBS and Laker, I would normally dismiss takeover rumors, but this has some legs due to the fact of how poorly the CC was handled and the lack of CFO and executive positions. This simply does not make financial sense. Anyone that can fog a mirror can understand this. The silence is deafening
I also cannot understand the 21ish takeout price.....If this is true, then I would believe another company would bid for the company. The deal would be acreative within the first 6 months to a year due to the ability of takeover company to reduce costs and provide synergies that Marvell does not have at this time. You add in the top line growth and you have the makings of a bidding war. The employee moral has to be at a all time low and productivity has to be minimal at best. If you say Sehat style is all work and no play....this has tremendous negative results on emplyees with no synergies being explored for the better good. 10 people working semi hard independently will be out produced by 5 "team members" that have a great corporate image and believe the company really cares about them.
I truly believe that without the MBO/LBO this SP has a great chance to be in the 22-24 range by the Feb/Mar 08 time frame.
