If they stop producing one design and then start making a new line, they could even get repeat customers for the same product, just redisigned.

Star Trek for example, will have tons of collectors. I know an extremely wealthy man who had a room in his business's office just to house his Star Trek collectibles. He estimated "a couple hundered thousand dollars" worth of just Star Trek collectables!
