Another misleading article... Ribavirin IS dosed by weight. (The dosage is adjusted later, as necessary, based on Hematocrit levels during the first 2-8 weeks or so... such that weight is not a consideration; just "response.")


You are supposed to be started on 800 or 1000mg, hematocrit is monitored closely for several weeks until stabilization, and then the dosage should be adjusted to suite the patient response ala anemia.
