WAVX is being investigated by US SEC. They are also being sued by the class action vultures. Where there is smoke, there is likely to be fire, duh. This is particularly noteworthy as it has been my observation that the SEC is the most incompetent, lethargic, inactive of all government agencies. Not sure why, I think that they must be under orders to do virtually nothing but look busy occasionally. As one poster stated, "they just manage the corruption." The Romans had it right, Caveat Emptor. I guess that means that their stock market regulators didn't do much either. Some things never change.

Wave Systems Notified of SEC Investigation

LEE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 18, 2003--Wave Systems Corp. (Nasdaq: WAVX - News) today reported that the Securities and Exchange Commission has commenced a formal investigation into certain matters relating to Wave. The SEC's investigative order, received by Wave on December 17, 2003, relates to certain public statements made by Wave during and around August 2003, as well as certain trading in Wave's securities during such time. The SEC has not concluded that there has been any wrongdoing, and Wave is cooperating fully with the SEC on this matter.
