Bits, I just finished with the call too. I like Curtis more and more. He is going beyond the call of duty to point out risks and threats.
There was simply absolutely nothing new. Basically the questions are what bothers me, not the answers. Whoever was there did not focus on Centera growth, and didn't get that all the new oems plus centera are going to cause absurd growth rates. they seem to not get the idea that this(neng) is a way for sw companies to partner with someone so all they have to do is focus on writing sw. I think 2-3 times Curtis had to answer a repeated, useless question.
I sure wouldn't conclude that it should be a couple quarters before we know anything conclusive. We already know something conclusive, and if when more and more other folks know, the stock will rise. We are going to get a huge boost from emc's continuing push into sw. If they(neng) continue to blow away the numbers the stock is just going to grind up. They will bag more oems along the way...that will help the pr battle, IF they can announce the wins.
I'll repeat again that the whole idea, THE WHOLE IDEA, was to play off of emc's growth by buying neng, and as long as the relationship was fine, neng would be a huge winner.
At around 6.5, the stock can be picked up by more funds and then again at over 10...this by market cap..and next time it gets over ten, there shouldn't be anything that happens to knock it all the way back down
