Look how far oil is off inflation adjusted highs. I think we need to test all-time highs in the price of oil but you can flat out forget about using the $USD values to equate today's prices with previous records. I don't know how to make better estimates of inflation but you'd have to be blind, drunk and retarded to accept the numbers our "leaders" are putting out.
