I understood what you were getting at, I just don't see it having anything to do with QCOM. A technology war is much different than a military war. Splitting the company up will give QCT the freedom to make its own deals without having to deal with the stigma of being attached to QTL's legal mess. QTL will be able to play hardball with BRCM, NOK and others without having to worry about injunctions against QCT. The carriers have to be sick and tired of all this mess and I'm betting it has and will effect QCT's future business with them.

Sure in a perfect world keeping QCOM whole would be preferable, but we just don't live in that world. "Divided we fall" is your opinion, not mine. Divided we thrive is the way I see it. We just may have to agree to disagree.
