If I included them on the message pages, the cost would be prohibitive. Astronomical. Right now (and likely forever) they'll remain only on the Board page and only for Premium members.
I have, however, added a new page (Quotes page) that I think everyone's going to go nuts over, and currently it'll only be available to Premium members, although it'll also have a 336x280 ad with it, in the same way the Commentary page has a 160x600.
I'm waiting to put this new page into production until I either get a finance-specific 336x280 advertiser for the page or get TribalFusion to flip the switch to allow us to deliver finance-specific ads for it.
I'm playing with it in development right now and the 336x280 is noticeable but not overly obtrusive. Problem is, it's displaying Classmates.com ads. I'm not putting it into production with those ads.
Because quotes is such a high-cost item for us, I was faced with either not providing them, providing them to Premium members as an additional-cost item, or displaying them to Premium members with a single ad. I opted for the 3rd choice. Simplest and the least obtrusive. As long as the ads are relevant.
If an advertiser comes along who is willing to go the extra cost, we might make the new page available to everyone, even freebies. Remains to be seen.
