"So you see, all those thousands of US military lives lost/injured in Iraq were worth it afterall. Oh, you know someone who was killed/injured in Iraq? Sorry, 'bout that but they were just a convenient pawn for The Decider and the Veep - they had other priorities than the life of your friend/ relative."
Perhaps a new low in your posts. Do you have any conscience at all? To use the dead/injured troops in this matter is despicable. You have not one reason to believe that they were used as pawns as part of some evil cabal to somehow profit from Iraqi oil. Overthrowing Saddam has been a goal since Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act. Was Clinton after the oil? Exactly, how does Bush personally profit from all of this oil? The Iraqi people own it, and expect to receive the revenues. Someone will need to provide technical services, why not the U.S., as opposed to the Germans, French, or Russians? American companies have operated around the world in global competition. You have not one shred of evidence to support your theory, other than it's shared by other leftists. You really should not allow your partisan hatred cloud your judgement so. At any rate, it is despicable, to include references to our fallen soldiers in this manner.
We heard the same diatribes and war for oil slogans, when we invaded Afghanistan. I saw all kinds of websites showing maps and plots about a great pipeline that was the real motivation. Where is it? Bush will be out of office in not that many months, how is he going to personally extract even one cent from this 'plot'?
