I tend to believe that those who got sucked into the "Ownership Society" scheme, be it speculator or participant, will get screwed to the wall. The repercussions (i.e. fallout) will be felt by everyone else to varying degrees. It will spread like a virus. Only the banks will go unscathed, the pusherman can only do so much...
