The Canadian regulators had to obtain permission from the SEC to even investigate a US-regulated stock. I believe they are merely monitoring the OSC investigation until fruition and will then take up their own formal proceeding. Why double efforts when the investing public has already been put on notice? Also, I believe it could be some time after the OSC findings that we see a formal proceeding by the SEC, as the wheels of justice turn ever so slowly. Look at similar proceedings against other suspect companies.
