Yes, both of us are fully aware just how important an issue this is.
It's for this reason that I haven't even implemented the new quotes/charts features here yet. We've signed the contract and have the feed, but I'm not adding anything to the site or diverting my attention toward something like that yet until the site itself is stable.
We had a similar situation before with SI. It had a daily slowdown that took a long time to figure out was being caused by a database backup firing off every morning. People were angry. And many thought I wasn't taking it seriously. Some suggested looking for and hiring a Solaris expert to address the problem.
We did eventually get that problem fixed and we'll eventually get this one fixed, too. Currently, we're aware of two things to try, and we've been actively working on them.
Oh, and of course, going back to the old webserver won't solve the problem. There's too much traffic for it to handle, and it's been put to work as our adserver.
