Manti, regarding #1, it is the MMs, because even the fundies and investment houses would still expect their shares to be delivered, or in the case of shorting, borrowed.

Regarding #2, they have no $$ invested, to begin with, so they have a no risk, 100% reward system, when it works in their favor.
