actually 2700 hogs/day is not all that impressive. Many years ago I used to work at a plant that was not considered top of the line. We had 1 shift 8 hours/day, and we killed 3-3.5k hogs/day. At that time there were plants in north america that put us to shame.
I fondly recall the tshirts we had, with a pic of a pig in a cops uniform, and the caption, "I have killed millions of pigs!"
Oh the fun , we used to put those on and go out speeding round town, trolling for cops with a head of cabbage dangling behind the car on a rope. ah sigh
The other one specially made for the boyz on the neck break line.
