Haven't checked email today. Can only do so from the office and, thanks to an ice storm, I've barely moved off the couch today.

The problem is the ASP service completely shutting down. When it happens, cpu and bandwidth utilization plummet because the system's not delivering anything, but you can still open html and image files from the site.
