Russia and Brazil preparing accord on space exploration

RBC, 23.01.2004, Moscow 14:56:34.Russia and Brazil will prepare an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of space exploration by this fall, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Boris Alyoshin told journalists after a meeting of the Russian-Brazilian commission for trade and economic cooperation. The agreement envisages a $500m to $700m program through 2008, the deputy PM stressed noting that it included development of a Brazilian launching site, launch of Brazilian satellites and some other activities.

Alyoshin mentioned that President Vladimir Putin would probably visit Brazil this fall.
