Not so xeller. I've called many TAs that give the numbers for the share structure freely to anyone who asks.

Some do, some don't. Some do what the company asks them to do and some just don't do it at all.

I'd like to know if it's the company requesting it to be kept secret or if the TA just has it's own policy of not revealing share numbers.

I got the impression that this TA just didn't give out those numbers for anybody, but I didn't ask specifically. I'll have to find out tomorrow.
