Sorry, But I have never belonged to a union,never will, and I fared just fine. Those who are most vulnerable to employer mistreatment (corporate or individual) are not organizable.

You see unions as equalizing a playing field. I see them as extortionists. If I don't like the working conditions of an employer, I move on. If someone wants my services, they will meet my terms. What I don't do, is threaten to put them out of business if they don't meet my terms. With globalization, unions are in retreat. Their big growth opportunity now is organizing government workers. Just what the public needs is another layer of inefficiency around an inefficient workforce.
