Momentum Plays

Honestly, Bernard, I think luck has a good deal to do with some of those picks. I too usually find them before they breakout, but recently, I've been finding them the moment before the breakout. The thing with CGPN today was that it was trading suspiciously. I saw the MMs were holding it between .32 and .35 for a good time, despite 80% buys. They were also dropping the price on very small sells, such as on 1000 shares. I also knew that the webconference was scheduled for 1 PM, so I figured that there were momo players and investors waiting for the results of the conference. Therefore, those people would put very high buying pressure on the stock and cause it to rise substantially. This turned out to be the case today, fortunately for me. I had to go to a class at 3:30 so I couldn't watch CGPN hit over .51 or else I may have sold half my position. I was a bit disappointed with the close, as I felt it should've closed over .50 with the momentum it had earlier. I may sell it first thing tomorrow AM and add on a good dip. With Comdex on Tuesday, it may rise again Monday or Tuesday, I will try to time the breakout and will post it here. Hopefully, I will be just as lucky as I was today!
