It doesn't make sense not to attend investors events when you are trying to come out of a big mess like this and make your company appear attractive. I don't buy the idea of them trying to get out of Investor convferences because they dont want to pay to go...
It also doesn't make sesne, that your friend couldn't tell you why he quit... If he quit, the he would have told you why. I think he got a buyout package. when companies get bought out they slim down and give the people leaving severence packages.
They may just be laying people off... but then whats the secrecy. Companies lay people off all the time and it does no one has to sign agreements.
