On a good day I get about 15 Kwh from my PV panels. I think it just about zeros out my electrical bill, which was never that high to begin with.

It was an expensive install, and from a money saving standpoint alone, it was a questionable investment. The flipside is that the value it added to my house, and of course, the environmental benefits.

My PV panels might, just maybe, pay for themselves in another twenty years. That's assuming the cost of electricity continues to rise. Of course, they will probably be obsolete by then.

Do you see why solar thermal, which can pay for itself in as little as six years is so much more appealing to me?

P.S. I didn't much like what the stock did today, but heck. I'll probably start loading up myself again soon.
