Not a good idea to change every file then put them into production. Better to do them a few at a time, starting with the busiest ones.

My understanding is that recordset closing is more important than db-connection closing. A lot more recordsets than db connections. Hopefully you've been closing the recordsets with an rs.close followed by a set rs=nothing.
