Dew, I think the focus of point #3 was changing the protein sequence per se. Changing the protein sequence NXS to NXT, could in theory produce an immune response, independently of glycosylation patterns. But the chances of this are low, IMHO.

The obstacle to discovery is the illusion of knowledge.
