Mystery, I believe everyone will be intereseted in the results of your contact with Ms. Kenny when you are able to post them. Personally, I think it is a bad idea to collect email addresses for "private" updating purposes, simply because doing so has an appearance that is open to sceptcism, but certainly, it is your call. Understandably, people on message boards are suspicious of everything. After all, the anonymous nature of a message board makes it a haven for those who would mislead and misrepresent for either their own selfish purposes, or simply their own pitiful entertainment. As I mentioned in an earlier post, no matter WHAT the results are that you post, you will be opening yourself up to scrutiny, criticism, and accusations. If you are honestly trying to help people here by what you are doing, your only reward may simply be the satisfaction of knowing that you did your best to help.
