While I tease Mr. Dolphin in regards to his conspiracy theories, I do believe there is much underlying truth to the general narrative, but the temptation to tie absolutely everything into the conspiracy wears thin and undermines its credibility, and the conspiracy theorists’ faith that they have the whole thing figured out also begs belief. They don’t have the whole thing figured out. I believe that things are both far more complex while simultaneously being far more simple than they can ever know. Also, that they believe they will overthrow the forces of evil in the name of what they call libertarianism and under the flag of Ayn Rand makes me not so sure I wish to be liberated.
I have my own conspiracy theories, and while I do often question the lone gunman theory of 1963, I’m not losing nearly the sleep on JFK as I am on GWB. I have ben saying for sometime (Lentinman and I even have a bet about it) that the fascists in control of the administrative branch of the US government have no intention of relinquishing control next year. If they could have maintained their stranglehold through the facade of a seemingly “elected” administration (my sources informed me that Romney was their front man), that would have been fine with them, but if they have to resort to supra-legal means, i.e. martial law and canceled elections, that would be equally fine with them. I am not a paranoid conspiracy-theorist, but my following of the news these last 7 years has convinced me that Cheney, Inc. respects no law other than that of the jungle, and its goal was never temporary world domination – it’s playing for keeps.
Here’s a link to an article about a Reagan official who concurs, and its well in keeping with the speeches of Ron Paul:
