I agree that must be quite a bit of skepticism about the size of the the antithrombin opportunity and historically, sepsis is a notoriously difficult area. Obviously, I think the odds of antithrombin having extensive utility--sepsis and other applications are good--we shall see.
On a different note, if Novo Nordsk receives an average price of $1,000 per milligram for Factor 7, and their 2006 sales of Fac. 7 were about $ 1 billion dollars (roughly, depending on the exchange rate) that means the price could also be stated as about one billion dollars per kilogram. Yow--I think that price may top Cerezyme. I wonder how many rabbits it might take to make a kilo of Factor 7?
