Intel/AMD Overall Performance Index

My last post on this review. I wanted to make sure people had a chance to see this last summary graph. My one complaint is that the reviewers didn't really use a lot of multithreaded apps, so that tended to make the quad core parts look pretty mediocre. Overall, it's a good summary.
I think it's surprising to see the upcoming Allendale processor E4500 (2.2GHz) perform about equivalent to a 2.8GHz AMD dual core (they used the FX-62 rather than the 5600+, but the two are equivalent). Notice some of the other close comparisons:
The next round of Intel price cuts are going to be very painful for AMD. Also, rather amusing:
Celeron 356 (3.33GHz) ~= Celeron 420 (1.6GHz)
Lastly, note that the X6800 (close to the E6850) is 26% ahead of AMD's fastest 3.0GHz part. How much IPC is K10 architecture supposed to deliver, and what are the chances of it hitting 3.0GHz...?
