@WBMW - TDP
Yes, performance, measured here in TDP got extremly well
after they went to C2D and derivatives, but got even better
with the latest steppings. Its quite "shocking" to see these
low numbers already at 65nm. I'm wondering, what 45nm will
bring on the table?
As said, the biggest volume in the next time will be still
DC, no way around and if I look at the 55W for a 3G Conroe,
I can't see, how Intel isn't able to place a 3,3G Core in
the 65W range on 65nm. Imagine, what some 45nm benefits
could do. Its "easy" to see, that Intel could instantly
ship 90W 3G Quad Cores and I'm prepared for 3,3-3,6G Quads
with 120/130W and 4G DCs as extreme edition. Looks "crazy"
these days, but actual performance points to that. Where is
AMDs answer?

The more we see, the more ugly it gets for AMD. It will be
even difficult to match 6850 performance (near impossible if
you ask me), which is a 266$ part today, not alone the speed
which will come in the next time. But I tend to think, that
Intel will not instantly "unlock" what is really possible,
because AMD is far away in speed. Hold back something and
bring more on the table as time goes by.
