Those 3 million are legal shorts Jim not Naked Shorts.
If the company does actually do a buy back and I have my doubts any would be short would have to cover first. if there is a large illegal short position in this then this supposed buyback would force them to cover and that may explain the large blocks being bought. Normally there wouldn't even be a bid after a PR like yesterday's. Someone IMO is seriously short or knows that the buy back is going to be canceled.
