I called T-Mobile to confirm the details. You can get this VoIP/WiFi phone for $169.00 with no contract and just signup for the $9.99 monthly fee and use at any WiFi connection . With 1 year contract $99, 2 year contract $59.
They were also very nice and admitted they changed their text messaging rates on June 1st, thereby voiding terms/contracts and were more than willing to help me get out of the contract.
They were so nice and accommodating I decided to keep their phone and service through my May 08 contract. The thought of getting back in bed with Cingular/ATT goes against my better judgement & instincts(also causing a bout with fear/nausea)
I told their Rep about T-Mobile's possible relation with Apple/iPhone in Europe and he was totally stoked
Being that their phones are primarily to guarantee better connections in homes and office where mobiles tend to lose signals, it is a device to save on calls, get better quality, not for web surfing, I can see its value
