Some grandmas were executed in Texas under Bush's watch too... No commuted sentences for them either... Just call him Potassium George where grandma is concerned!!... But for Scooter, it Compassionate Conservative...
Some of the execution stories are outrageous... One grandma, poor, with a history of severe abuse since early childhood, killed her 5 abusive husbands and buried them all over her yard... All the while bringing in new abusive spouses. But grandma was poor and ill educated, and there were serious problems with her legal representation. Grandma's gone... And I know I feel a whole lot safer...
Personally, I support capital punishment only in the most extreme cases -- but NEVER for juveniles or the mentally handicapped. You have to wonder about the prevailing morality in a society that would support such a practice... Fortunately, the SC banned the practice of executing juveniles offenders, and the mentally handicapped. But not before our Decider refused to commute the sentences of quite a few... Grandma's still fair game tho...
