Surely you see those 3 little words (that I underlined) in the first sentence of their response.

There are no plans for a reverse split of the stock. We do not feel it is in our shareholders best interests at this time.

They did not say that they will NOT do a reverse split, they clearly stated that they have "no plans to do a reverse split at this time". In other words, they made no committment whatsoever.
