This depends almost entirely on the reimbursement policy in each country. In countries where Atryn is fully reimbursed, I can’t see any reason why a physician would want to prescribe plasma-derived antithrombin.

Reason to prescribe plasma: familiarity; IT IS LIKE GOING TO A RESTAURANT AND ORDERING SAME THING EVERYTIME - it's what they know. With proper sales force - they can reinforce advantages of rhAT.
