Country music star LeAnn Rimes will appear as one of the opening-night headliners of BayFest 2007, festival organizers announced Wednesday evening.
While no other performers have been revealed as yet, the first is a blue-chip crowd-pleaser. Rimes, now 24, has been a star since making her major-label debut at 13. Her hits include "One Way Ticket (Because I Can)," "How Do I Live" and "Something's Gotta Give." She has won two Grammy Awards.
In a second bit of news sure to cheer all BayFest fans, not just those who favor contemporary country music, organizers said the advance purchase price of a weekend pass will be the same as it was last year, $35 for three days.
