BTW, you mentioned Rydex "AM" trades. Does Rydex allow for premarket trades to be effective at the markets opening prices???

See, some of these subscription models give you evening updates, instructing you to buy or sell at the open the next day. As far as I know, buying at the open can be accomplished only via ETF's.
Meaning the IRA index trader who wants to use a "buy on market open" system does not have a shorting option.
