As a doctor, I fully support having patients go wherever they choose. As a metaphor, Wallgreens has put the small mom-and-pop pharmacies out of business where I work because of the 24 hour issue. Sadly, I also have to admit that many MD's cherry pick insurance plans, avoiding Medicaire and Medicaid, leaving many complicated patients without primary care support. Should we then complain when the 'game' opens up just a bit??
