3 mis-steps with the CCity deal....
#1) gzfx was not ready with their website & inventory. today, yes, they are ready(well maybe not with inv)....18 mths ago when the pilot program started, no... the website was not good enough... too many flaws...... and that was gzfx's fault.... possibly putting too much time & money into gnfdigital & gnfent at that time.....
#2) circuit city did not give it a good marketing effort... too many reports of cc employees having no clue of what gzfx was, even when it was right under their noses (i had first hand experience with this).... and that was cc's fault....
#3)..cc going thru tough times right now.....15/18 mths ago, things seemed rosy for cc.... big flat screens were booming and cc was reporting awesome revenue & profits... that is no longer the case.... & cc is somewhat struggling.... so they need to have shelf space covered with sellable products, not taking risks with new companies.... and that could be considered the fault of both parties due to reasons 1 & 2
