Thanks for contacting David.
Think about it guys. The Soldier's Prayer project had to start around January, February at the latest. They have problems and realize they are not going to get the CD in the stores for Memorial Day. BUT they are and will be promoting Collin's CD to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Fund, thus the May 25th news article. BUT the CD was not available.
Let them promote Collin and get him on the top 10. Just makes him more valuable to Nashville Records if/when he proves he still has what it takes to get there.
"Raye had been in the studio with producers Teddy Gentry and Michael Curtis recording the singer's new CD, Selected Hits. The six-song collection was done at the request of a major retailer, Kragen said, and was supposed to include two new songs and four past hits. But after recording was done, financing fell through." (Too bad they fail to give a date when this recording was done.) So it likely was "Country Roads Records" that he ended his last contract with.
(Note: They fail to mention the "major retailer" as Wal Mart!

From Alabama to Nashville: Superstar Producer for Collin Raye
Nashville Records, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: NSHV) is proud to announce that Teddy Gentry, Alabama's long-time band member, has been selected as the producer for country star Collin Raye on the Nashville Records Label(TM).
BUT the Starpoint produced CD was already being recorded or produced by this time with only 6 weeks remaining to meet a Memorial Day goal. Since it takes at least 2 months to get a CD produced and into distribution channels, they are now looking at a June 26th release so they are at least a month behind their goal.
I'm confident that this will be cleared up and Collin Raye will be recording for Nashville as originally PRd.
