I think the new Actos warning will be for heart failure.


Ok, that makes sense. The entire class pretty incontrovertably suffers from that problem - although early on there were some FDA reviewer comments that perhaps the diagnoses of CHF were only due to water retention, which is another issue with the drugs (i.e. mistaken diagnosis).

The only remaining odd thing is that it has been known for a while (4 or 5 years) that the entire class suffers from the problem of increasing the incidence of CHF. But better late then never?
