Got a call from CPNE IR and thought I'd pass along the gist of what he told me about the company and stock price. He told me the selling appears to be from firms CPNE had made financing deals with in '05 to raise money at the time CPNE shares were much cheaper so they're still able to sell at nice profits. But, he said they're considering more stock repurchases with the shares so low, when I asked him about it. He also said they're looking at a profitable 2nd quarter which should look good vs same Q last year to possibly help improve the stock price when they announce sometime in August. He said he expects they will have news prior to earnings though gave no clues as to what it may be. No quotes here as I didn't take notes and am giving this by memory but I liked what I heard from him anyway and thought I'd pass the info along. tuna
